What does CLARA stand for?

Is CLARA a person?
No. CLARA is an automated assistant. It asks two simple questions and lets the caller talk. It never pretends to be a person.
Do I keep my phone number?
Yes. Customers call your number as always. Calls you don’t answer pass to CLARA’s line, which runs on our account and which customers never see.
Will it work on my phone?
Cell phones on AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and most other carriers: yes, with one button during setup. A landline or office system works if it can forward unanswered calls; ask us first. US numbers only for now.
What happens to callers outside my area?
They hear a polite goodbye. Nothing is kept: no lead, no alert, nothing to delete.
What if CLARA hears an address wrong?
CLARA reads the address back, and the caller can press 2 to say it again. If CLARA can’t find the address at all, it takes the message anyway, so you never lose a real job.
Can I change what CLARA says?
Yes. In the app, open What CLARA says to change the greeting, the after-hours greeting, the question before the beep and the goodbye. Tap Hear it to listen.
Can my office or crew get the alerts?
Yes. Everyone logs in on their own phone and turns on alerts. Email alerts can go to several addresses.
Are calls recorded?
Yes, and callers are told so. You can listen to every message in the app.
How do the trial and cancelling work?
Your first 30 days are free. We ask for a card, email you before the trial ends, and charge nothing if you cancel before then. After that it’s $115 a month. Cancel any time from your Billing page. No contract, no setup fee.
Will my price go up?
No. Your price stays the same for as long as you stay with us, even if we raise it for new customers. Improvements we add are included free.
